Patrick Hefferan, M. Ed., lpc, ncc

I believe that having a compassionate, experienced therapist is essential to achieving one's goals for therapy. I strive to help individuals, couples, and families understand any underlying issues, recognize their existing strengths and support them as they learn to develop their own new and healthier life patterns. I am passionate about combining resources and therapeutic tools that are just as diverse as the people I work with.

My clients have generously informed me that they consider me to be an empathic listener, a keen observer and a calming presence. I bring a warm smile, a curious, gentle, friendly manner, a ready laugh and a healthy self into my therapy sessions every day. I sincerely care about the people I work with and work hard to create a warm and trusting environment for clients of all ages.

    - Andreas Carver, July 18, 2011
  • “Patrick is a truly committed and caring individual that uses his many years of experience with people to come up with practical methods for helping you move in the direction of your goal, and to keep you motivated. I was extremely happy with the service that I received from Patrick”
    - Andrew McAllister, October 15, 2005
  • “Patrick has exceeded all of my expectations. He truly understands me. When I started in therapy with Patrick, I was at my lowest point ever. Patrick helped walk me through my ups and downs. Patrick has gone way above the call of duty by giving me resources to keep for every problem that I have encountered, I am truly grateful for all of the dedicated work Patrick has done with me and for me.”
    - AH, November 4, 2007
  • “Patrick Hefferan has been working with my difficult and challenging son since January of '08. My son has tested Patrick in every way. Patrick has a great tolerance. I also think that most therapists would have given up working with my son. Patrick comes up with creative ideas to help my child deal with his issues. You will be very fortunate to have Patrick as your therapist.”
    - MS, October 19, 2008
  • "Patrick Hefferan came into my family's life in April of 2009 and I feel that we have been blessed to make his acquaintance since he is the most compassionate, understanding, wonderful man, let alone human being that I have ever met. I'm 55 years old so I've met a few people in my life. He is gentle and caring with a wonderful sense of humor. I am able to talk with him about anything. My son, who is a teenager, chose him again after being with him previously through a different counseling agency. My son said the only way that he would continue therapy was if Patrick was his counselor. Well, that spoke volumes. Patrick makes a difference in your life. We both feel he is a wonderful therapist."
